Dr. Poonam graduated with a “Bachelor in Ayurveda Medicines And Surgery” (B.A.M.S.) from renowned institute in Pune i.e. Sumatibhai Shah Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya attached to Sane Guruji Hospital which has a good number of patients. She passed all the exams with flying colours (First Class with Distinction).

She completed her post graduate studies M.D. (Ayurveda) from the same Institute i.e. Sumatibhai Shah Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya. She achieved Lila Poonawalla Foundation Scholarship for post graduate studies.

She has more than 17 years of clinical experience in the field of Ayurveda and more than decade of experience in Ayurveda Academics.

She had been worked as a faculty for the International short courses for students from various countries like Brazil, Shri Lanka, Japan, France Bangladesh, Nepal.

She also conducted Authentic Ayurveda medicine preparation workshops for many students and practitioner’s. She mentored more than 1000 students in her academic career. She helped more than 2000 people suffering from gynecological problems, digestive issues, lifestyle disorders like thyroid, diabetes, hypertension, heart diseases, Chronic cough and asthma, raised cholesterol levels, Kidney issues and stones, Skin and hair problems, joint pain and spinal issues, Liver disorders and jaundice with Authentic Ayurveda treatment. Dr. Poonam published many research articles in national and international Scientific research journals and presented scientific research papers in National and International Seminar and Conferences.
